10 Tuesday

Spanish 1A

I can
  • Use the new vocabulary to understand a dialogue.
  • Use context to guess the meaning of new words.

We went over a dialogue using recent and new vocabulary. Students worked in groups to say their lines, figure out what they mean, and answer questions at the end.

There will be a quiz on yesterday and today's vocabulary on Friday. To help you study, do the following:
  1. Go to Quizlet to review vocabulary using flashcards. Click on shuffle and keep going until you know all words. When finished, click the English button on the right and continue studying until you can do all cards.
  2. Click Test on top and see how well you do. Writing section can be very picky, requiring you to use accents and sometimes endings such as /a; don't worry if you leave out these for now.
  3. Play Scatter by clicking the top button. We didn't get to the words ellos, nosotros, and ustedes yet in class, but we will soon.
  4. Complete the activities here and here.
  5. Listen to the audio files here.

Spanish 2A

I can
  • Talk about where things are and how to get there.

Students used maps created yesterday to find objects on several maps using terms in Spanish when available and wrote directions to any place and to the school cafeteria. Volunteers and I listened to directions related to movement. We also reviewed direct object pronouns and how they can be used while driving.
